About Kim Halberg

Kim Halberg makes her home in Minnesota unless she is traveling to warm climates in the winter. She lives with her husband, last of her three sons in the nest, and  “Bones” a velvet-black-panther-cat. Her cat, Freddy,  who usually had the job of writing the annual Christmas letter, has passed on. When Kim is not writing she enjoys long walks in the woods (or beaches!), cooking ethnic recipes, and going boating with her husband. Her adventurous spirit and desire to serve the Lord through missions has led her almost around the world. After traveling to India in 2003, Kim spent three years working on a biography entitled Meet Me at the Oasis: Leaving a Legacy to Echo in Eternity for a non-profit organization, which partners with the Indian people.

In addition to Meet Me at the Oasis, Kim Halberg also writes for brochures, web sites and children’s stories for reading comprehension. She is also a public speaker including a young writer’s workshop, From Light-bulb to Ink Press! Using “Doodle Notes” Kim is able to keep students engaged in the writing process.   Another passion of Kim Halberg’s is taking people on their first missions trip, helping them to navigate through a new cross-cultural experience. She is a shameless advocate for missionaries around the world.
